For the first SoundCloud Session of the new season, we got These United States to stop by our roof terrace in the SoundCloud Berlin HQ. It was one of the first nice days of the year, and we made a good deal: we show those guys some legendary Berlin summer weather, and they show us some great tunes. Give it a listen!

For the final SoundCloud Session, we are thrilled to present Missouri native, Ian Fisher. He has made a name for himself in Austria, dazzling crowds in Vienna, and has since made the move to Berlin, and we are happy he did. This guy packs an unbelievable vocal punch! 

He and Simon decided to christen the SoundCloud Men’s Room with a musical performance, so do not be taken aback by the urinal in the background. Thanks for listening :)

Circa Survive were passing by on their European tour recently so we invited them along to record our sixth SoundCloud session. As autumn is upon us a change of scenery was in order…

For this change we decided to also collaborate with an English director, Greg Taylor, who uses SoundCloud as the basis for sending back and forth the audio within music-related film projects -

‘It’s a great platform for a band to send me a track we are working on and to use the timed comments to initially plan out with a band what we are looking to shoot’

Ólöf Arnalds is an Icelandic singer/songwriter and indie musician. We were lucky enough to catch Ólöf and Davið Þór Jónsson on their tour for one of the last summer days on our roof terrace, and they seemed genuinely happy to spend part of their precious day off playing in the sun. Ólöf’s second album, Innundir skinni, was just released in September, and we’re happy to showcase live versions of some of the tracks here.

Claudio Donzelli (born 1981 in Pesaro, Italy, now based in Berlin, Germany) is an Italian multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter who performs under the moniker Athebustop. He and Miriam Moroni came to the SoundCloud rooftop to perform the fourth Session in the late evening setting sun on August 3, 2010.

Myrra Rós joined us in Berlin for the third session, and what a treat it was. The back stairwell of our old building provided the perfect setting for the Icelandic artist to showcase a few of her many wonderful tracks, more of which can be located and downloaded for free on her SoundCloud profile.
